Courses and their outline
Course I - TCP/ IP Protocol Suite
Duration: 2 days
This module aims at providing the users with an overview on OSI model and
TCP/IP Protocol suite, different protocols existing in the suite of protocols
and their functionality. It also cover aspects such as TCP/IP addressing,
principle of subnetting and performing the same.
Course II - Introduction to LAN/ WAN Technologies
Duration: 5 days
This module enables the network project managers/administrators to gain a
comprehensive understanding on network designing and supervision, so as to
enable them to visualize, administer, install, configure, manage and supervise
local as well as wide area data networks, and projects based on the same.
This program should help them to understand basic fundamentals of networking
including the OSI layered model, IP/IPX protocols, Network addressing, Network
Management, LAN/WAN technologies, Routing protocols and basic operations of
Routers and Switches including WAN Services such as Point to Point, ISDN &
Frame Relay Connection.
Course III - Advanced Networking Technologies
Duration: 5 days
This module helps the participants to understand the configuration and
monitoring of advanced routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP and BGP, defining
policy based routing and handling large internetworks based on multiple
protocols. This also help them to plan scalability of the network
infrastructure. It also aims at providing in-depth understanding of advanced
technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, layer 3 switching, Quality of Service in
data networks.
Course IV - Data Base Administration
Duration: 5 days
This course provide a Quick start introduction to operating the database in
Network environment on a Windows NT platform. It introduces users to the
essential tasks that confront database operators and support personnel who have
to quickly set up and operate a database in a Windows NT environment. The focus
should be on the database as opposed to specific operating system tasks. Users
should gain practical experience installing and operating the database to
support departmental database applications that have from one to 20 users.
Course V - Introduction to Computer Networking, Internet & Messaging
Duration: 5 Days
This module enable the users to understand the basic computer hardware and
the peripherals which are used in daily operations, familiarizing them with
the LAN Concept & Windows 98 Operating System.It also covers the details of
Internet and E-mail functionality- thereby enabling them to use the Internet
explorer and the MS-Outlook applications to leverage the Internet and E-mail
functionality. It should help them understand the intricacies of the most
commonly used office automation tool, which is MS-Office and gain indepth
knowledge of the same. The users would be made aware on how to use MS-Word,
MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
